Job Description
The Receptionist/ Clinical Administrator is responsible for providing support for our busy clinic.
The position is currently looking for 2 people, one will be part-time hours (8-24 hours per week) and one is a full time position (including weekend). We are looking for someone who is able to work any days of Monday to Friday or Saturday
The successful candidate will ensure the efficient functioning of the podiatry clinic currently located in Richmond Hill. The Receptionist will keep a professional and welcoming attitude towards patients, colleagues, and visitors to the clinic while following all procedures and policies of the position. Computer, communication and organization skills are needed. Confidentiality in this position is always understood and maintained.
Position Duties
*Answering a multi-line phone system with inquiries from patients and other healthcare professionals
*Scheduling appointments using EMR software
*Producing invoices, handling payments and point of sale transactions, balancing the end of day payments
*Maintaining electronic patients’ files within the EMR system
*Scanning and linking documents to patient files as well as completing and printing forms as required
*Entering medical data into the EMR system as well as updating patient, physician, and insurance information
*Assisting with medical histories of patients, escorting them into clinical rooms, and keeping track of appointment times
*Preparing paperwork for orthotic orders, receiving shipments of products, and ensuring patients have appointments to collect their orders in a timely fashion
*Understanding and using college-required sterilizing techniques and equipment to clean podiatry instruments and create surgical packs
*Keeping a record of inventory for podiatry and office supplies, and notifying the lead Chiropodist of inventory shortages for order
*Maintaining a professional atmosphere at the front desk, and running the office efficiently and with accuracy
